Evolved shapes 

Hi All,

I have been experimenting a lot with this program, and I can only say it's awesome! However, I see only "long" bots evolve with 0, 1 or 2 bifurcations. I wonder what environmental parameters could favor the evolution of creatures with higher sticks/joints ratio (without modifying fitness)? Changing gravity, terrain, muscle work hasn't worked for me so far.

The shape of evolved creatures depends on many factors...

  • characteristics of genetic encoding and genetic operators,
  • simulation (physics),
  • fitness function.

Each of these may act in favor or against bifurcations.
