Amphibious Frams, cont.

So im still struggling with the amphibious fram problem. Rather
addicting.....Anyway, my problem is that i seem to just have ended up with
long snake frams which are fast in the water (around .03) but worthless on
land (6.???e-5). I was wondering if anyone else had tried this, and what
might be a good way to evolve amphibians? Im only evolving towards speed at
the moment....would evolving towards vertical position help maybe? or would
i just get land creatures then...at least, thats my worry. Any ideas? Hell,
does anyone even read this group???? 8)

Hi Kevin,

I was thinking that maybe you could use a Windows macro to change the
settings from water to land, say every hour or so. What do you think?

I think I am going to try it now!!

Cheers,

Nice idea, good luck!

BTW, v2 scripting gives an elegant way to do it. Some prerelease
of v2 should be available within a month.

It worked quite well. the following Fram moves at around 0.03 in water and
0.023 on land.

I was alternating between land and water every half-hour. But I had to give
it more time on land towards the end, as the water environment was causing a
greater evolutionary pressure.

The Fram that I started with used to be a leg from another Fram that I
built. It had been evolved for speed on land for several days. Here it is.
